Roof Rax started while planning a camping trip with my wife and dogs. We quickly realized our SUV was running out of space. A roof cargo box seemed like the obvious solution—until I started researching.

I was born and raised in Orange County and have always appreciated how many incredible places are just a few hours away.
From the beaches along the California coast to the mountains around Big Bear and Mammoth, and the desert landscapes of Joshua Tree, some of my favorite experiences have come from road trips.
